PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

July 2021 - Present

Manage the day to day operations of 30 hourly employees across three product lines. Manage efficiency, safety, and on time delivery to ensure the highest possible quality and value for the customer. I manage the Rotor Coil, Buss Ring, and Insulation lines in the Propulsion division of Wabtec at the Erie, PA plant.

MANUFACTURING ROTATION, LEAD PROGRAM

July 2019 - July 2021

Remote Diagnostic Specialist 

In this role, I working in the Global Performance and Optimization Center, (GPOC) monitoring the global free of GE Transportation / Wabtec Locomotives. I worked on over 200 troubleshooting and performance review cases, published 2 internal white papers on the use of advance troubleshooting tools and UX design for trouble shooting recommendations that were delivered to customers.  I also wrote over 20 troubleshooting guides for the next generation troubleshooting program. I also filed for my first patent in this role.

Evolution Series Power Supervisor 

In this rotation, I am leading a team of 25 hourly employees who machine and assemble the power assemblies for Tier 2, 3, and 4 locomotives as well as power assemblies for marine applications. The primary focus is to insure the safety of those who work with me. After safety, my role focuses on managing labor hours to insure production targets are met while inventory is kept to a minimum. The Coronavirus added increased complexity to the task of managing the work force but through it all, I kept production running safely and efficiently.  

Material Technical Advisor

In this rotation, I lead a team of 4 hourly material controllers while managing over $3M in on-hand inventory across over 3,000 unique part numbers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I ensured there was no production stoppages due to material issues. 

Manufacturing Engineer

This is the rotation as part of the Operational Leadership (LEAD) Program. This rotation has me working as the Manufacturing Engineer as well as supervisor for teams of up to 11 team members working across both day and night shifts. I am responsible for providing technical, drawing, and engineering support for the team members working on the tear-down line .

DESIGN ENGINEER INTERN, DAIKIN NORTH AMERICA

May 2018 - August 2018

During this internship I worked in the New Product Development team for Residential, Outdoor, Split Systems. I worked on simulating the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratings (SEER) of non-traditional outdoor coil and furnace combinations. I can over 20,000 Energy Efficacy for Outdoor/ Indoor system combinations. I also co-lead the Second-Place intern group in the Intern Recycling Challenge. We created and implemented a plan to save $30,000 a year in waste cost.

MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING AND REFRIGERATION ENGINEERING INTERN, HEB DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

June 2017 - August 2017

I oversaw determining the efficiency of different layouts of air conditioning systems. I was also in charge of creating technical drawings in AutoCAD for refrigeration cases as well as updating technical schedules. I created the construction for a $48,000 Case Replacement. I helped save HEB $5,000 on the project by doing the Construction Documents In-House. I also created a formula to predict the Natural Gas Usage of future stores to determine if they qualify for special gas rates.

STUDENT TECHNICIAN III, FISCHER ENGINEERING DESIGN CENTER, TEXAS A&M

September 2017 - May 2019

I manage and lead Student Worker II, I, and volunteers in the Desktop 3D printing area. I also help maintain and operate 36 Desktop 3D printers and 4 Professional 3D printers. I also provide technical help for students using the equipment they checkout from the Fischer Engineering Design Center.

CONFERENCE STAFF, YMCA CAMP CULLEN

October 2016 - May 2019

As part of the conference staff, I work on the weekends during the school year providing a mini summer camp experience in a weekend. I help work on the waterfront, putting small boats in and out of the lake, as well as help run the rifle range and other camp experiences. We not only provide a camp like experience, we also strive to increase self-confidence and teamwork. I am specialty trained as target sports instructor. I help run the Archery and Rifle range. I teach proper range and gun safety.
